Kirsty & Ben | Rossington Hall

Kirsty & Ben | Rossington Hall

Kirsty & Ben tied the knot at Rossington Hall on Saturday 19th January.

As always in the morning, I went up to the bridal suite to see Kirsty and the girls. I tried not to take it too personally when Kirsty started crying as soon as I entered the room! (no one else seemed to have had that affect on her!).
I spent the morning photographing her getting ready and all the detail shots of the shoes, the dress, the flowers etc. I was impressed to see Kirsty had a pint of larger on the go from about 11am and that continued as a theme throughout the day!

When it was time for the ceremony, Kirsty entered the room and gave a loud, almost surprised-sounding, “Hello!” to everyone. That was definitely a first! The ceremony was full of laughter and two gorgeous readings, one from Winnie the Pooh and one about how love is like owning a dog – which I very much appreciated!

Thankfully, the weather stayed dry for us and we managed to get some outdoor couples portraits as well as doing a few group shots outside.
The venue tent itself really well to a great full wedding party shot, achieved by hanging out of an upstairs window. And I think, after all the wedding’s I’ve shot, this one had the most confetti! This made for an incredible confetti shot/exit!

After the wedding breakfast, it was time for the speeches and then the first dance. It’s always a good sign when at the end of the first dance, the dance floor is completely packed! Everyone then gathered around to watch the glow performer, which was incredible! We were all absolutely in awe of this epic performance and it was such a good addition to the wedding!

It was a great day all round!
